Rules

  • The game board is a grid of tiles, some of which contain mines.
  • Revealing a mine ends the game.
  • Numbers on revealed tiles show how many adjacent tiles contain mines.
  • Use these numbers to deduce which neighboring tiles are safe to reveal.

Strategic Use of Flags

  • Flag tiles you suspect have mines to prevent accidental clicks.
  • Flags help keep track of identified mines and aid in logical deduction.
  • Use flagged mines to more safely reveal adjacent tiles.
  • Remember that flagging all mines is not required to win; clearing all safe tiles is.

Basic Strategy

  • Start by clicking random tiles on the board. Corners can be a good starting point.
  • Use the numbers to figure out where mines are likely to be and avoid those tiles.
  • Be cautious and take your time. Rushing can lead to mistakes.
  • Use logical deduction to clear large areas without mines efficiently.

Desktop

  • Left-click an empty square to reveal it.
  • Right-click an empty square to flag it.
  • Right-click a flagged square to remove the flag.

Mobile

  • Tap an empty square to reveal it.
  • Long-press an empty square to flag it.
  • Long-press a flagged square to remove the flag.

Create your own board

Click on the create button in the top right corner to create your own board. The game will switch to edit mode.Place mines by clicking on the squares. Click again to remove. After you place all your mines, click the export button to get a link to your board.

Customization

Whether your playingg or creating a board, you can customize the game my picking the theme, board size, and the emoji for the mines. This customization can be shared with your friends by sharing the link in the url bar or by clicking the export button when creating.
